Yann Demange’s debut feature,’71, picks up the Jury Prize at the Beaune International Thriller Film Festival.

The UK thriller stars Jack O’Connell (Starred Up, Unbroken) as a young British soldier accidentally abandoned by his unit following a terrifying riot on the streets of Belfast in 1971. Unable to tell friend from foe, the raw recruit must survive the night alone and find his way to safety through a disorientating, alien and deadly landscape.

The film debuted in Competition at the Berlin International Film Festival in February to huge critical acclaim and will open in the UK later in the year.
