EXCLUSIVE: Alchemy has acquired North American rights to 31, a horror film by Rob Zombie that has just begin production in Los Angeles. The film stars Sheri Moon Zombie, Richard Brake, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Lew Temple, Meg Foster, and Malcolm McDowell. The deal was sealed by Alchemy CEO Bill Lee, who has been on a tear since restructuring and re-branding Millennium Entertainment.
“Rob Zombie is a true artist and master filmmaker at the height of his game,” Lee said. “With 31 he’s creating yet another terrifyingly immersive and twisted world that will delight audiences. Alchemy’s mission is to connect exceptional storytellers with existing and new fans, and we look forward to doing so with Rob’s latest work.”
In Zombie’s latest, five unwitting friends are plucked from their lives and plunged into a terrifying game of death. It unfolds on Halloween as the victims are pursued by a band of scarily costumed killers. Mike Goodridge, Buddy Patrick, Robert Ogden Barnum and Kevin Frakes serve as executive producers with Robert “Corpsy” Rhine, Bradley Curneal, Blayne Fender, Brain Slagel, Eric Thirteen, and Chris “Woody” McElroy. And no, the title doesn’t refer to the roster of producers.
Zombie said he was “thrilled to work with a company sharing the same vision for my film 31 as I have. Alchemy has committed to bringing the most intense experience possible to the screen.”

Bow And Arrow Entertainment and Spectacle Entertainment Group are producing the picture alongside Protagonist Pictures, the latter of which is handling international sales.
