Calvary to hit UK cinemas 11 April

By otm

John Michael McDonagh’s critically acclaimed follow-up to The Guard – CALVARY, starring Brendan Gleeson, Chris O’Dowd and Kelly Reilly, which wowed audiences at both Sundance and Berlin earlier this year, hits the UK & Irish cinemas today (11 April).

Calvary is a blackly comic drama about a priest (Gleeson) tormented by his community. Father James is a good man intent on making the world a better place. He is continually shocked and saddened by the spiteful and confrontational inhabitants of his small country town. When one day his life is threatened during confession, he finds himself having to battle the dark forces closing in around him.
