Synopsis

Carla has fled her home in Nicaragua to live as a refugee and spread the word about the war at home. She ends up in Glasgow where she meets the free spirited bus driver Bobby. From his persistent attentions, love eventually blossoms. He leaves Glasgow and goes with her to Nicaragua where gets caught up in politics. Based on a true story. Carla’s Song reflects the burden that the past imposes on the present and celebrates the unquenchable human spirit.
