Repressed passion, incest and violence in a bourgeois household of 1930’s France. Based on the play “My Sister in the House” which Nancy Meckler directed at the Hampstead theatre in 1987. My Sister in the House is itself an adaptation of Jean Genet’s The Maids which was based on a true story.
